In summer 2023, WHH charity were generously donated a child’s BMW electric car, signed by Warrington Wolves rugby players. Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals employee, Gemma Leach had won the car in a competition and wanted to donate it to WHH Charity.

The signed car was originally the whizzy rascal car, which would take rugby balls onto the pitch before a match. With the support of purchased raffle tickets, WHH Charity have been able to raise £758 for the Making Waves campaign.

The children’s Ward campaign has been launched to raise money to provide direct benefit for our young patients, and their families beyond that which the NHS is able to provide. The Campaign target is £45K, of which will enhance the experience to our young patients and their families.

The children’s ward at Warrington Hospital holds a vision to enhance the ward play area into a multi-functional room, providing educational, sensory, and stimulating equipment of which may not only boost recovery but also create an area where our young patients can build new friendships and memories.

The winner of the child’s BMW electric car raffle was picked on Thursday 24 August by charity administrator, Jane, and donator Gemma.
