Supporter takes fundraising to new heights for cancer care

A local fundraiser has taken fundraising to new heights after completing an incredible wing walk to raise money for WHH Charity’s Delamere Information and Support Centre.

On 6 August, Mike Rudin took to the skies for the unforgettable challenge, raising money to support people affected by cancer.

Mike set himself an initial fundraising target of £1,000, but he didn’t stop there. He smashed his target and has raised an incredible £1,515 for Delamere.

Delamere Information and Support Centre provides information, advice and support to people affected by cancer. Based at Warrington Hospital, the centre offers a welcoming and supportive space for patients, families and loved ones throughout their cancer journey.

The money raised by Mike will help WHH Charity continue to support the Delamere Centre and provide additional services and support for local people affected by cancer.

Speaking about his fundraising, Mike said: “It was amazing! I am so chuffed.”

Mike has now closed his JustGiving fundraising page, bringing his total to an incredible £1,515.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Mike for taking on such an incredible challenge and choosing to support the Delamere Centre.

His fundraising will help make a real difference to people affected by cancer in our local community.
