Two colleagues from North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust are getting ready to take on the Warrington Running Festival to raise money for Warrington and Halton Hospitals’ Charity (WHH Charity).

Lindsay Cosgrove and Madhuri Vegi, who both work in HR Support, will be taking part in the 5K on Sunday 20 September 2026.

The pair decided to sign up to challenge themselves while giving back to a charity that makes a difference to patients, staff and services across Warrington and Halton.

Lindsay and Madhuri said: “As two employees of North Cheshire and Mersey NHS Foundation Trust, just knowing that our participation could help people in need gave us the motivation to get involved and make a difference.”

Their training is already well underway, with the pair enjoying the opportunity to push themselves and build their fitness and endurance.

On the day, they are most looking forward to crossing the finish line and celebrating what they have achieved together.

They are also encouraging others to get involved, saying that taking part has already helped them improve their fitness, boost their confidence and feel part of a wider community effort.
