Z Beds help keep families close during difficult times
Families are able to stay close to loved ones receiving care on the Stroke Unit at Warrington Hospital thanks to Z Beds funded by Warrington and Halton Hospitals’ Charity.
The £1,081 funding has provided beds that allow relatives to stay overnight with patients who are receiving end of life care or living with dementia.
Being able to remain by a loved one’s side can provide comfort and reassurance for patients, while giving families precious extra time together during what can be an incredibly difficult period.
The Z Beds are a simple addition to the Stroke Unit, but they can make a meaningful difference to the experience of patients and their families, helping them stay together when it matters most.
The funding was made possible thanks to the generosity of Warrington and Halton Hospitals’ Charity supporters.
