Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals Charity (WHH Charity) is delighted to announce the success of its recent collaboration with Pizza Hut's Great Sankey branch in the ‘Raising Dough’ promotion. On Saturday 4 May, pizza lovers flocked to the Great Sankey branch to indulge in a medium margherita or pepperoni pizza for the price of £2, with all proceeds generously donated to WHH Charity.
From 12pm to 6pm, customers had the opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause while satisfying their pizza cravings. The promotion, available exclusively via collection, saw an incredible response from the community, resulting in the sale of 950 pizzas. Through the collective efforts of Pizza Hut's Great Sankey branch and pizza enthusiasts, a remarkable £1900 was raised to support the initiatives of WHH Charity.
Helen Higginson, Head of Fundraising, said: “We are dedicated to serving individuals across the local area, providing support from birth to end-of-life and every moment in between. Every contribution received is reinvested within Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals, enhancing the lives of patients in need of hospital services, and supporting the wellbeing of our staff.
“We are overwhelmed by the success of the ‘Raising Dough’ promotion which shows the collective impact achievable through community support. We would like to express our appreciation to Pizza Hut's Great Sankey branch and the community for their support.”
