Making Waves Appeal

Dive in and help our children feel better…..

Our children’s ward has launched a ‘Making Waves’ campaign to raise money to fund a number of exciting projects. The first project will provide a bright, colourful and safe Outdoor Play Area for our young patients and families to enjoy while in hospital.

The target is an ambitious £100K to fund the play area which will have a nautical theme.

Jill Holland, Children’s Play Co-Ordinator, said “The play area will offer children and their families a little bit of normality, a distraction that may comfort them through stressful times.”

Children in hospital, at local schools and clubs, will help chose the equipment over the coming months, with prizes for the most innovative ideas.
For further information about how your school or club can become involved in this project, then please contact Helen Higginson today! 01925 662666.

UPDATE: 25th July 2018

We’re very excited to present these digital visualisations of what our outdoor children’s play area is going to look like on our Children’s Ward!

Our appeal is nearing its £100,000 target (less than £20k to go!) so we’re really pushing for that final wave of support.

To give you an idea of what your support is helping towards, here are the images of the  play area:
