Carys Hammond one of our amazing midwives said ‘Women’s birth experiences stay with them for a lifetime and I am raising funds for our local maternity unit at Warrington Hospital to give the department a much needed makeover’.
As a midwife I am really passionate about making the stay in hospital for women and their families as welcoming, comfortable and homely as possible. I also love roller skating and do that in my spare time to keep fit and de-stress – so I’ve decided to combine the two to raise funds and need your support!
On the 24th September, I am making the 18km journey between Halton Hospital and Warrington Hospital entirely on rollerskates.
Please support my efforts by donating as much or as little as you can to help me achieve my goal. I will also be posting regularly on social media updating you of my training progress, so keep an eye out. Thanks Carys

WHH Charity Manager expressed how delighted she is that Carys has brought a fabulous new concept to the ways in which you can fundraise! Doing something you love as well as supporting a cause you are passionate about is priceless and something to be extremely proud of.
On 24th September not only is Carys roller skating to Warrington Hospital from Halton Hospital but she will also be joining our Abseil team to finish off her amazing challenge….
This will all be part of our September challenge month, whereby each and every one of you can step up and challenge yourself in whatever capacity you wish! From joining our Abseil team at Warrington Hospital to walking to work and or maybe just not taking the lift for a month. The challenge is simply set by you…. for you…. to help us!
