Therapy Bake Sale a Great Success

By August 1, 2017News

Katie Massey, Advanced Physiotherapist – Surgical Rehabilitation Team explained – We held our Therapy Bake Sale on 14th July in the Physiotherapy Outpatients Gym and it was a great success! The idea was to invite our new starters to meet the colleagues who they are going to be working beside following a recent recruitment drive and to raise money for the WHH Charity.

The cakes that we sold were generously donated from many members of staff – a big shout out to our “Show Stopper” creators; Dan Massey’s coffee and walnut cake, Sue Cadman’s chocolate and sweet cake and Michelle Thomas’s beautifully decorated Victoria sponge cake!

We raised a total of £219.75 for the charity and had a fantastic time catching up with members of current staff and meeting some of our new starters – although the sugar shakes set in for the remainder of the afternoon!!

Thank you to everybody that helped to organise the day, donated cakes, bought cakes and all who donated generously!

A very big thank you to our colleagues and friends outside of therapies who also turned up to show their support and dig into the delicious array of cakes on offer!

We look forward to our next Therapy Bake Sale and hope to see even more of you next time!
