Our staff have been overwhelmed by the kindness of a local man, the late George Lloyd, who so generously left a substantial legacy along with a wish for it to be spent at Halton Hospital.
This wonderful gift has already provided a variety of ‘above and beyond’ equipment that will provide direct patient benefit throughout the hospital, which will make a huge difference to our patients.. Among some of the departments that have already benefited are Physiotherapy and Endoscopy.
One of the larger projects is to refurbish the dining room where patients, visitors and staff gather to chat, have a warm drink and eat the wonderful homemade food provided by our lovely staff.
The tired and somewhat drab dining room is undergoing a complete facelift that will create a bright and fresh ambience and a welcoming place for all to enjoy.
Work commenced early in March and Angelene Rusling, Duty Catering Manager, said “Staff are really excited to see our new dining room, this has been a long time coming and now with this lovely gift it is going to become a reality!”
