Front row left to right: Robin Shields, Paul Heathcote, Alastair’s father Alan Teague, Mark Mansfield, Cristina Chandler, and Daniel Stewart.
In March our friend and colleague, Alastair Teague, sadly passed away following complications after surgery. On the 28th May, 11 of us from our office, Marsh in Manchester, chose to run the Manchester 10k and 3 ran the Manchester Half-Marathon to support two chosen charities: The British Red Cross and Alastair’s wife’s chosen charity the Warrington & Halton Hospital’s Charity, in memory of Alastair. As an additional commemoration of Alastair, our running team name for the event reflected his ‘Tiggy’ nickname, Team Tiggy. The runners are of all fitness levels and include Mark Mansfield, Tim Vinall, Daniel Stewart, who all ran the half marathon and Paul Heathcote, Robin Shiels, Joshua Pacitto, Simon Dale, Adrian Ridyard, Steve Land and Cristina Chandler who ran the 10K.
WHH Charity fundraising manager, Helen Higginson, said ‘I am overwhelmed with the dive and passion from Marsh Ltd staff to make a difference to our two amazing charities in memory of their colleague Alastair, we really do appreciate their precious support’.
