Family raise funds to thank the Forget Me Not Ward

Earlier this year the Farrell family decided to give back and say thank you for the care their loved one Betty received, whilst on our dementia ward at Warrington. The local family organise a fundraising night at Daresbury Park in memory of Betty, so on an evening in May people gathered together to enjoy a fun packed evening consisting of live music, a raffle and a disco.

Raising a wonderful amount of over £5000 for the Forget me not ward, a fantastic achievement. May we take this opportunity to show our appreciation and thank you all for your support, it really means so much.

The reunited Morris Dancing Troupe ‘The Crickettes’ raised funds for the Neonatal Ward last year. The troupe danced over 20-35 years ago and were once UK champions, they decided to reunite for one of the members 50th birthday party and dance for charity in memory of Norma who was the troupes founder. The troupe raised over £500.00, Thank you!.

Robert and the Warrington Dolphins Long Distance Swimming Club took part in a channel relay in June 2014. Robert created a Just Giving page to raise money for the children’s ward as the team say they do a fantastic job in caring for young people. Robert’s Just Giving page reached as fantastic £1580.00, Thank you!

Chris’ Tough Mudder challenge. Chris’s daughter was born 11 weeks prematurely and after being transferred from Liverpool Women’s Hospital, spent the next 9 weeks on the Neonatal ward at Warrington. Chris and wife Emily were overwhelmed by the care and support they received by all the staff on the ward. Chris took part in a Tough Mudder challenge with some of his friends and raised an amazing £2255.00, Thank you!
